Soccer Athlete with Igor

Today I photographed Igor a good guy and soccer player. I had a lot planned out for this shoot. I knew exactly how I wanted to photograph him and light it and I knew where. And of course I didn’t photograph him how I had planned it just went in the direction it went in really. I don’t know why but I was planning on shooting this with a good telephoto lens but I always get sucked into the wider lenses for some reason. I think part of that reason is because its different its not what you see every day. And I just think it looks cool.

Anyways I added some before the shoot shots and of course some images from the shoot and I couldn’t really include after because it was too dark to take much of anything.

My car packed up with 4 light kits and a D3

Had to be prepared “BSA”

The basic set up for the day

Bryan Bautas my awesome assistant for the day

This was just luck we got there and some kids were just finishing up practice and one of there dads came over and we ended up getting this shot pretty much.

This was pretty much my basic idea I was going for

Now this one took forever to get the grass blades in the right spot the ball in the right spot and the logo on the ball in the right spot…No I’m kidding it was just hard to get the ball in the frame the rest just happened.

If it wasn’t for Igor being the man at soccer and Bryan Bautas being awesome and taking time out of his day just to help me out on this shoot this wouldn’t have happened. So a special thank you to them both.

Outdoor Portrait with Andrew

I was able to go out and shoot with Andrew today for 3 hours. This is the first shoot I have not shot with the 645 II Mamiya and let me tell you the sharpness quality and size was well worth the sacrifice I could never have got this many shots without shooting the Nikon D3 and I definitely wouldn’t have got the ones in the swamp without it! The D3 has left a good impression on me for sure.

For the set ups it was all natural light until the images with the stool in the field. So needless to say the weather was awesome perfect overcast. So we basically hit up downtown Greenfield then moved out to the fields of Deerfield.

Just to note Andrew was awesome to work with very creative.

I just happened to have a stool in the trunk of my car. This is also where the strobes came in.

This was my favorite one so I went ahead and did all my post production on it.

Final Self-Portraits Up

They put up our final self-portraits for the year and mine got the prime property over the drinking fountain. Pretty stoked! Its pretty funny too because the two on the right and left of mine are all serious and mine is goofy like no other.

Fossil Watches

Here are the results from going shopping at Macy’s. Here are the Fossil watches I bought to photography. I was going for a just dug up look as if they were actual Fossils, what do you think?

Student Open House

Today we had our Hallmark student open house. I had the pleasure of working in the commercial studio. They also had us print out and matte three images of our choice to hang in the walls for people to go around and see. It was pretty awesome seeing everyone’s work this close to the end of the year. Below I attached one of the hallways with the work hanging. Then below that I attached the three images I printed and hung up.
