I’m super stoked I finally went out and bought a roll of seamless black paper. I have been wanting to do this for a long time and I’m glad I did. Instead of having the typical lightstands hold up my background I went to my local home depot and bought a couple of wall hooks for a closet pole. Then I also grabbed a ten foot dowel and mounted all that to my wall and it works fantastically.
So with this image I really wanted to show off my new background paper and my studio space. As you can see there isn’t much space the ceiling is only six and a half feet high. I believe the length and width is about 12′ x 12′ so it may look a little longer because I’m zoomed out to 18mm but don’t be fooled this is a very small room for a studio. It does a great job for head shots or half-length photos, anything past that the room becomes way to small to work in. But its still a little slice of photography heaven for me. As for the lights in this photo I not only wanted to light up the room for the photograph itself, but I also wanted to show off my lighting gear as well.
Trigger man: Myself
Strobist: One SB600 acting as background light, but really lighting me. The other two flashes are just for show.
